The client is one of the leading Indian Headquartered integrated mining resource company.

The Challenge

An integrated mining major was not using a platform for carrying out strategic sourcing, catalogue management, supplier lifecycle performance management operations which was resulting in lower savings, higher process cycle times, savings leakage and inefficient supplier risk management.

The Objective

  1. To integrate Ariba upstream module with SAP ECC that will help the client to streamline the strategic sourcing, catalog management supplier lifecycle performance management operations.
  2. Standardize the streamline sourcing and procurement processes for efficiency and effective gains.
  3. Design a system that is scalable and user friendly keeping in mind the expansion plans and potential supplier base.

 The Solution

  • PEOL functional and technical consultants engaged with the client to study the current processes and to evolve the as-is to-be process.
  • PEOL team evolved the techno functional specification for the integration of Ariba solution to SAP ECC 6.0
  • SAP ECC 6.0 was integrated with Ariba sourcing, Ariba contract, Ariba master data and Ariba procurement content for the procurement of direct, indirect materials and services.
  • End to end integration Services (Expert consulting, Development, Unit testing and
    PGLS)
  • Integrated Demand aggregation from PR TO RFQ.
